


A creative day with natural dyes

Kentish Town City Farm, 1 Cressfield Close, NW5 4BN

As the summer draws to a close there are plenty of plants to use to create natural dyes. This day is a chance to learn and express your creativity dyeing silk and cotton with plants including some unexpected: turmeric, annatto, hawthorn, forsythia, oak bark, buddleja, madder and woad. You can experiment with different tie-dye techniques, with dip-dyeing and over-dyeing. No previous experience necessary.
You’ll take away a naturally dyed silk scarf and a pair of cotton napkins.
Tea/coffee, biscuits and cake will be provided.
